Lolly Willowes

I thought that Laura's relationship with her father was really interesting. She claims that she doesn't want to get married, and that she is happy being single. She doesn't want to "replace" her father - which is what is really interesting to me. I am curious about their relationship. Personally, I love my Dad too and I wouldn't want to replace him so to speak but that doesn't mean I don't want to get married one day! She is similar in many ways to other women that we've read about but I feel as though she is more independent. I'm curious to see how her relationships will turn out in comparison to the other women we've read so far.
