This chapter was exactly what i thought this book needed. A surprising chapter full of different emotions and different people not offered in the other chapters before. i think this chapter centers around this main quote i found to be most accurate " Events do not always turn out as they are planned beforehand."
It is interesting to me why peter would come to Cranford when he knew he was possibly risking his sisters and fathers reputations. His father is appalled that he would dress up like that but it seems to be of no real concern to him. Eventually peter grows up as do the rest of the people in the story and they burn the bridges they had formed before.

That's an interesting point. I wonder maybe he thought that his father wouldn't have taken it so seriously. Cranford is suppose to be the town where things are kind of low key. Like how they treat people that are less fortunate, they still go to their parties and hang out with them. Or maybe he just didn't care what his father and the town thought of him, he just wanted to be himself.
